THROWING
- GLAZING
- DECORATING
- KILN & FIRING
My range of pots has grown over the years,
but they have always featured large jugs and bottles that act as
a vehicle for subtle exploration of form and exploitation of glaze
qualities. The range I have created untilise local materials, which
are unrefined and offer lots of potential for variation in both
colour and surface. I have always been interested in using locally
sourced materials, such as fine stone from the Cumbrian hills and
differing kinds of wood ash, to produce surfaces and colours that
connect the pots to their locality.
